    The Arkansas Supreme Court was created in 1836. The Court established, as one of its early goals, a standard of fairness and speedy dispatch in its deliberations and opinion process. Parties are entitled, under the Arkansas Constitution, to one appeal which is either to the Supreme Court of Court of Appeals. The Supreme Court is comprised of one chief justice and six associate justices, each elected statewide for an eight year term in office.

    Overview of Utah Supreme Court.

    The Supreme Court is the "court of last resort" in Utah. The court consists of five justices who serve ten-year renewable terms. The justices elect a chief justice by majority vote to serve for four years, and an associate chief justice to serve for two years.
